A cult is a social group that has beliefs and practices that the others think as abnormal. Most of the cults ask for a lot of sacrifice of money and time from your side. Some may ask for extreme sacrifice which is sacrifice of life. Some of the cults are controversial but are not destructive. There is a long list of cults. List of cults can be country wise, or for the whole world. The list of cults is never ending. It cannot be put in one article. Moreover one group that is thought as cult by one country may not be thought so by another set of people. So the list of cults varies according to the minds of people. However, here is a list of cults. LIST OF CULTS: CHURCH OF BIBLE UNDERSTANDING 
This is one of the destructive cults formed by an atheist Stewart Traill in the year 1971. The members of the cult are supposed to give 90% of their income to the cult. The teenagers are targeted and their weaknesses are made use of in joining them in their cult. The members are treated harshly and put to humiliation. 
THE MANSON FAMILY: This is a notorious and deadly cult formed by Charles Manson who was sold by his alcoholic mother for beer. Though mason's family was a small cult, it was dangerous and it committed murders. 
CHILDREN OF GOD: An evil church which gave full sexual license and even claimed that sex with children was not a crime. This cult was founded by David Berg. The female followers made prostitutes. THE NATION OF ISLAM: This is a highly controlling cult which teaches that the black man is good and white man is evil. It was formed by W.D.Fard. THE KU KLUX KLAN: The KKK is known for their cold blooded murders. The cult desires white supremacy. The members were clad in white robes and hoods. HEAVEN'S DAY: They preached that the earth was to be recycled and wiped clean. The way to escape was to go out of the planet. HARE KRISHNA: The followers were hippies and they suffered for their religion and were willing to do even robbery and murder for their religion. A lot more can be added to the list of cults like The Unification Church, The Solar temple, Scientology, Twelve Tribes, Christian Identity Movement, The people's Temple, Life Spring and much more. Not all cults are terrorist groups. Some are peaceful cults. But all terrorist groups belong to a cult. |
